A conservative banker from Madrid, Gregorio, must confront his traditional values after the sudden death of his wife. He moves to San Lúcar de Barrameda with his three children, each with their own secrets: an older daughter pregnant and moving to Barcelona, a middle daughter struggling with her relationship with an anarchist, and a younger son engaged to marry a man from Senegal. As Gregorio tries to come to terms with his new reality, he is aided by a quirky priest and the ghost of his wife, ultimately learning to be more open-minded and accepting of his unconventional sons-in-law.
