In this movie, a woman named Hannah, recently arrested and dumped by her boyfriend, finds herself with nowhere to go. She meets Tanner Wadsworth, whose family home is a historic tourist attraction, and becomes his tour guide. However, things take a surprising turn when Hannah meets the ghost of Lady Wadsworth, who died in 1875. Lady Wadsworth reveals that the Wadsworths don't actually own the manor, and that it was meant to be passed down to a woman who worked for her, whose descendants still work for the Wadsworths. Hannah joins forces with Lady Wadsworth to uncover the truth and prove that the Wadsworth family stole the manor. Along the way, she enlists the help of a teacher to aid in their investigation.
