Inferno background

Inferno

A ruthless entrepreneur, crippled by a broken leg, is callously abandoned in the desert by his treacherous spouse and her cunning accomplice.

In 1953, 20th Century-Fox took a risk by investing heavily in 3-D and stereophonic sound for a select few theaters, resulting in a possibly unparalleled 3-D film. The story follows a self-centered and heavy-drinking millionaire, Robert Ryan, who suffers a broken leg from a horse fall and is abandoned to die in the desert by his unfaithful wife, Rhonda Fleming, and her lover, William Lundigan.
