Stanley Ford, a successful cartoonist, leads a carefree life until he wakes up married to a beautiful woman who doesn't speak English after a friend's stag party. As he adjusts to married life, he even changes his cartoon character's identity from a super spy to a harried husband. However, when he decides to kill off his wife's character in the cartoon, his wife misinterprets his intentions and disappears, leading the police to charge him with murder.
