Against this backdrop, Ann Warschawska arrives in search of revenge for her sister's suicide, which she believes was orchestrated by an Austrian officer. As Ann navigates her quest for justice, she uncovers a Russian spy hiding in plain sight, and Nemassy's plans to help him escape take an unexpected turn.
