Freddie Frisby's life takes a dramatic turn when he learns he can't marry Judy, the daughter of Bob Sears, due to his lackluster career as an orange picker. However, his fortunes change when he inherits his uncle's vast estate, comprised of a magician's equipment. Freddie decides to pursue a new career as a magician with Judy by his side, but their rehearsals are cut short when they're abducted by a group of payroll robbers.
