In August 2001, a former soccer player, Fermín Pelassi, and his wife Lidia, decide to restore an abandoned silo in Alsina, a small town in Argentina, and hire locals to work there. They gather 158,000 dollars from friends and travel to Villagrán to deposit the money in a safe box. However, bank manager Alvarado convinces them to change the money to his account, promising to accelerate the silo's purchase. But Argentina's government declares a national bank freeze, trapping the money in the bank. After a car crash, Lidia dies, and Fermín is severely injured. A year later, his son Rodrigo, who had left university, visits his father and learns about the corruption. He fakes being a gardener in a corrupt lawyer's office to find the stolen money, but faces many challenges and unexpected troubles.
