On his last day as Marshal, Morg Rocklin plans to get married, but a group of troublemakers, including a rancher's spoiled and quick-tempered son, bring chaos to town. The Marshal tries to arrest the son, who gets killed in a shootout. With his wedding postponed, the Marshal must break the news to the old rancher, who's recently taken a new wife and has a drinking problem.
