Two cousins, Guddu and Rangeela, struggle to survive in a crime-ridden town in North India. By day, they work as orchestra singers, and by night, they gather information for local gangsters about the wealthy families in town, earning a meager income. Despite their blood tie, they have vastly different personalities, leading to a love-hate relationship. Guddu, impulsive and unorthodox, aspires to escape their poverty by executing heists themselves, while Rangeela, self-righteous and mature, despises the idea of getting involved in the city's dark underbelly.
