A struggling composer finds himself entangled with a group of individuals producing a lively musical revue in the vibrant year of 1922.

A young composer from Kansas arrives in New York, seeking to publish his concerto, and meets a speakeasy owner who wants to produce a Broadway show. As the composer's life improves after falling for a singer, he unwittingly has his music adapted for a Greenwich Village revue.
