Two former vaudeville and Broadway stars, Pat and Molly Malloy, bring their eclectic troupe, featuring dancers, singers, a talented canine, and an intelligent seal, to Hamilton, Conn. for a performance.

Pat and Molly Malloy, former vaudeville and Broadway stars, arrive in Hamilton, Conn. with their troupe, including dancers, singers, a trained dog, and an educated seal. They buy the rundown Swanzey Hotel to fire its clerk, Harry Clark, who had insulted Pat. However, local skinflint J.A. Higgins wants the hotel and tries to buy it, but Pat refuses.
