A snowboarder's brother takes him back to their Inuit family's home in the Arctic after his friend's suicide, hoping an ice-bear hunt will lift his spirits. However, the friend instead finds a half-frozen Russian woman and nurses her back to health, only for her to be whisked away by helicopter without a word of thanks. As he helps a journalist uncover the truth behind the woman's disappearance, Nelson is forced to confront a military conspiracy and his own cultural heritage.
