In a small fishing village, 16-year-old Ricky is torn between his dreams of leaving and his father's expectations of following in his footsteps. When he meets Telly, an older local girl, she encourages him to break free from his routine and explore the night. They sneak out, stealing Ricky's father's boat, and escape into the harbour, where Ricky loses his virginity. The next morning, with the fog lifted, Ricky is faced with the reality of his father's presence on the shore, forcing him to confront his newfound maturity.
