Chef Clay Maguire, pushing forty and with no corporate experience, starts his career over at the bottom after losing his restaurant. He joins the Unemployable Interviewees of America, meeting others who share his plight, including Liz, Bob, and Charlie. Spurred by lack of encouragement and bizarre job interviews, Clay and his fellow job-seekers strive for dignity, success, or at least a job taking customer service calls from prison inmates for minimum wage.
