Detective Inspector Holm and the Hammelforst police are called to Hans-Peter Jogereit's house after a reported heated argument. Upon arrival, they find Jogereit shot and Sophie Haas holding the murder weapon. As Jogereit was Sophie's archenemy, she is initially suspected of murder. However, as the police interrogate Dietmar, Bärbel, Heike, and Jan, they discover that each person has a subjective account of the past 24 hours, making it difficult to pinpoint the true culprit. Despite the group's seemingly disparate relationships, it becomes clear that they are all deeply connected and loved each other dearly.
