Captain Larry White, a fishing schooner captain, is convinced by his wife Millie to use his boat to smuggle rum during the Prohibition era, and they quickly amass a fortune. However, their illegal activities attract the attention of the authorities, leading to a confrontation and Larry's escape to the home of his partner, a woman who is financing the operation.
