On Christmas Eve 1851, the Doctor arrives in London, where snowflakes swirl and carolers fill the market square with festive cheer. But his holiday mood is disrupted when a distressed woman calls out for his help, only to find another "Doctor" answering her plea. This imposter, dressed in similar attire, possesses uncanny knowledge and even a hot air balloon that resembles the Doctor's iconic TARDIS. As the Doctor investigates this mysterious duplicate, he must also thwart the sinister plans of Mercy Hartigan and the Cybermen, who are kidnapping children to build a deadly weapon that will crown their king.
