Black Narcissus

Sister Clodagh, the youngest sister superior in the Order of the Servants of Mary, is appointed to lead a new convent in the Himalayas, despite reservations from the Reverend Mother. The convent, located in the Palace of Mopu, will provide schooling and medical services to the local community. Sister Clodagh is accompanied by four other nuns, each with their own unique skills and challenges. As they settle into their new home, they face cultural differences, isolation, and personal struggles. Sister Clodagh finds herself torn between her duties and her past love, while Sister Ruth's growing obsession with their liaison, Mr. Dean, threatens to disrupt the harmony of the convent.
