In 1998, Maryam, a devout Muslim, takes a job at a nursing home in Ambarawa, where she meets seven elderly nuns living in poor conditions. She dedicates herself to helping them, performing daily tasks such as cleaning, bathing, and cooking. When a new pastor, Yosef, arrives, their contrasting personalities spark a romantic connection. As their relationship deepens, Maryam's focus on her duties wavers, and she begins to neglect her responsibilities. This leads to mistakes, including forgetting medication for one of the nuns. Eventually, Yosef takes Maryam to the beach on her 40th birthday, but she realizes the error of her ways and the consequences of her actions.
