A French army captain, working with British Commandos, is tasked with finding a secret Nazi submarine base in Brittany. He assumes a deceased French soldier's identity, hoping villagers will aid him and none will betray him. Along the way, he finds a sweetheart and a charmer, but unknowingly, the charmer is working with the Nazis. After several close calls, he discovers the hidden submarine base and the Commandos execute a successful raid, destroying the facility.
