Maria, a drug trafficker, is caught between a rock and a hard place when she stops making trips and is introduced to a mysterious Persian moneylender. Allan, a sailor returning home, wants to start anew but is drawn back into the world of drugs after a chance encounter with an old friend. Steso, an intellectual junkie, claims that drugs keep him alive, but his soulmate Tilde wants him to quit and take a break. The film explores the cruel and depressive world of addiction, but with a glimmer of hope and love.
