All the King's Horses background

All the King's Horses

A doppelganger dilemma unfolds as a renowned actor swaps lives with a monarch who bears a striking resemblance, leading to a tangled web of consequences for all parties involved.

King Rudolf XIV of Langenstein neglects his wife, Queen Elaine, and she leaves the palace, refusing to return until he learns to show her affection and shaves his ancestral beard. With the king away in Vienna learning how to love, a Hollywood actor resembling the king, Carlo Rocco, takes his place. The queen falls in love with the imposter, unaware he's not her true husband, and Carlo even learns to sing.
