A Letter for Evie

A clumsy soldier carelessly ignores a letter from a lonely secretary, leading his hapless buddy to pretend to be him in a bid to capture her affections.

Evie, a factory worker, is inspired to write a letter to an anonymous soldier after her co-workers and almost-fiancé's struggles. The letter finds its way to "Wolf" Larson, but his friend John McPherson intercepts it and starts a correspondence with Evie, pretending to be Wolf. However, things become complicated when Evie wants to meet her soldier and John's deception is threatened, while Wolf also becomes interested in Evie.
