In "I'll Have What Phil's Having," Rosenthal ventures into kitchens beyond the traditional gastronomic paths, meeting those who preserve and innovate culinary traditions. Traveling from Hong Kong to Barcelona, Paris to Tokyo, and from a Michelin-starred Italian palazzo to an LA bakery training former gang members, he shares his passion for food, travel, family, and humor. Rosenthal was not exposed to adventurous eating as a child but says, "My mother wasn't great at cooking, yet I've always loved family, food, travel, and humor, which is how I connect with people." He hopes viewers will see himself exploring the world and trying new things and say, "If that guy can go outside, maybe I can too."
