Angels in America

In 1985, amidst the AIDS epidemic and the Reagan administration, a complex web of relationships and secrets unfolds. Prior Walter, a man struggling with illness, is abandoned by his lover Louis after revealing his diagnosis. Meanwhile, Joe Pitt, a Mormon and Republican attorney, is pushed by the powerful and closeted Roy Cohn towards a job at the Justice Department. Pitt's own struggles with shame and religion threaten to consume him, while his wife Harper yearns to escape their sexless marriage. As Prior receives a visit from an angel, he must choose between being a prophet in death and finding a way to reclaim his life.
