Gus Lawton, a struggling comedian, chases his wife Deborah to her childhood home, an abandoned farmhouse, after pushing her too far. He chooses to fix up the old place, starting with the septic tank, where he discovers a zombie who agrees to do his bidding. However, the zombie's own desires soon threaten their plans, and Gus and Deborah must join forces to get what they want, no matter the cost.
