In this romantic drama, a rugged Argentine gaucho named Cesare Campo falls for a famous Parisian singer, Yvonne LaMarr, who is on her way to perform in a Buenos Aires cabaret. When their plane is forced to make an emergency landing in the Pampas, Campo and his riders take the passengers to a hotel, where the two quickly develop a romance. However, Yvonne must leave to fulfill her engagement, and Campo is left heartbroken. His sorrow is compounded when he discovers that his prized horse, the favorite to win the Big Race, has been stolen.
