A 17-year-old boy, Mariano, returns home on a sweltering summer morning and spends time at the pool and mowing the lawn. After accidentally cutting the power cord, he sets out to fix it and finds a gun, which he uses to shoot himself twice. Despite the attempt, Mariano survives, with only a grazed head and a mysterious double-note in his music playing.
