The Rushers of Din were plagued by sweet dreams from sunny Frivoli and nightmares from the mysterious Murkworks every night. However, the malevolent Synonamess Botch sought to replace their peaceful slumber with non-stop terror. He kidnapped the dream deliverers and tricked Ralph, an All-Purpose Animal, and his friend Mumford into stealing the Cosmic Clock's mainspring. As Ralph and Mumford tried to retrieve the spring, they enlisted the help of their Fairy Godmother, Flora Fauna, Rod Rescueman, and even Scuzzbopper, Botch's own nightmare writer, to prevent the unleashing of nightmare bombs and save the Rushers from eternal darkness.
