An orphan and a born troublemaker, Thotti Jaya works in a hotel and earns a reputation for being a formidable force. Recruited by a local rowdy, Jaya uses his skills for nefarious activities, but eventually gets caught up in a political and police trap, leading him to flee to Calcutta. There, he rescues a college student, Brinda, from a brothel and falls in love with her.
