A Roman tribune, Marcus Numidius, is sent to Armenia to quell a gladiators' uprising. He captures the rebellion's leader, Aselepius, and takes him to the arena. However, Princess Amira, who seeks to become queen, plots Aselepius' demise by switching his opponent to a lion.
