A teenager named Alicia, orphaned after her parents' deaths in a war-torn region of Colombia, seeks refuge with her paternal Uncle Óscar, who she's never met. He agrees to take her in, but only if she stays out of his son's room, Freddy, who no longer lives there. Alicia finds solace at La Sirga, a rundown guest house in the mountains, where she helps with repairs alongside the housekeeper, Flora. Meanwhile, Óscar tries to establish a trout farm with friends at the cooperative. But life takes a turn with the mysterious return of Freddy, who may be connected to ominous events threatening their existence.
