The Sins of the Children

A struggling immigrant barber in a small American town must balance his family's needs, including his ailing son's health, while pursuing a new business venture with a friend.

A German immigrant, a successful barber with four children, invests in a savings-and-loan company with a friend. However, his plans are derailed when his son falls ill with tuberculosis, and the investment money is spent on his treatment in Arizona. Two decades later, the wealthy partner's wastrel son becomes infatuated with the barber's daughter.
