Kim Jeong-ho, a man on a mission, sets out to create the Daedongyeojido, a comprehensive map of the Korean peninsula, for the benefit of the common people. As he walks across the country, he becomes so focused on his goal that he forgets about his 16-year-old daughter, Kim Sunsil. Despite being called crazy, Kim Jeong-ho perseveres, driven by his vision. However, his map attracts unwanted attention from Daewongun, the King Father, who sees it as a means to gain an advantage in his power struggle with the House of Kim of Andong.

A cartographer, Gosanja KIM Jeong-ho, embarks on a perilous journey across the Korean peninsula to create a comprehensive map, the Daedongyeojido, in a time when navigation resources are scarce.
