In this romantic drama, a supermarket cashier named Tracy is fired for daydreaming about the exotic Orient. She finds a new job at a high-end vegetarian restaurant owned by a sophisticated Iranian expat, Sam. As she works at the restaurant, Tracy captures Sam's attention, but their relationship remains sensual and platonic. Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend Richard becomes jealous and tries to expose Sam's polygamous lifestyle, which is actually a cultural tradition.
