In the summer of 1910 on the Canadian prairies, a young boy named Jay is obsessed with saving up enough money to buy his dream horse. But his plans take an unexpected turn when he stumbles upon four mischievous monkeys who have escaped from a circus wagon. As Jay learns that there's a substantial reward for capturing the primates, he's faced with an impossible decision: keep the chimps as his new friends or collect the reward and buy his dream horse.
