Katie Savoy plays Rebecca, a filmmaker who travels to China to make a documentary about the Chinese Ghost Festival, following in the footsteps of her late fiancé who drowned under mysterious circumstances. While there, she learns of a legend about a concubine named Chan Ju Chi who was brutally murdered and thrown into a well by the head concubine. According to the legend, Chan Ju Chi has become a "jiangshi", killing innocent people to take over their bodies. When a worker is attacked in an old palace well, Rebecca tries to uncover the truth behind the legend as her friends and colleagues are murdered one by one.
