Saadia background

Saadia

In 1950s French Morocco, a complex love triangle unfolds between a local ruler and a French doctor, both of whom fall for the same Arab girl, amidst the backdrop of a deadly plague outbreak and the threat of Tuareg raids targeting a vaccine shipment.

A young Arabian girl, Saadia, is convinced by a local sorceress that she has the "evil eye", bringing disaster to those who love her. She is taken to a French doctor's clinic for rehabilitation, where she falls in love with the doctor and his friend, the prince. When a plague hits the town, Saadia believes she is responsible and sets out to retrieve a plague serum held for ransom by bandits, while the love triangle between her, the doctor, and the prince unfolds.
