U.S. Marshal Tim Donovan, disguised as a gambler, boards the Black Mountain Stage, which is then robbed by Pete Smith and his gang.

U.S. Marshal Tim Donovan, disguised as a gambler, foils a stagecoach robbery and uncovers a gang of outlaws led by Pete Smith. Despite being initially accused of being part of the gang, Tim and his friend Tombstone work with an insurance investigator to expose the true culprits, including stage agent Biff Hunter and town banker Emmett Chase. As they close in on the gang leaders, Tim and Tombstone must evade the sheriff and his deputies, who are hot on their trail, in order to claim the reward and recover the stolen gold.
