In Spain, a group of friends, including surfer Jason, his girlfriend Lisa, and photographer Tomas, discover an ancient board game called Mamba at a fair. The game, from the Spanish Inquisition period, is free to play, but its rules come with a deadly twist: the winner's wish is granted, while the losers are cursed to die in the manner described on the cards. As the friends play, they start to lose, one by one, and eventually, Detective Eric arrives to inform them that the first player to lose has died. As the remaining players continue to die, Jason researches the game's dark history and discovers that the board and pieces were made from human skin and bones, and the cards were written with the blood and tears of the witch Mamba Masamba. Determined to break the curse, Jason decides to finish the game with his new acquaintance Erica.
