A witness to a domestic murder, Patrascu is torn between his moral obligation to justice and his inner turmoil as he navigates a complex web of guilt and paranoia.
Sandu Patrascu, a Romanian citizen, lives a comfortable life in Bucharest with his wife Olga, teenage son Matei, and trained dog. His ordinary existence is disrupted when he witnesses a violent quarrel through a neighbor's door, followed by the suspect's departure and the discovery of the young woman's murder.
