In modern-day Moscow, a fragile truce exists between the forces of light and darkness, with supernatural beings known as the "Others" possessing various powers. The forces of light, who govern the day, and the forces of darkness, who roam the night as vampires, are bound by a centuries-old agreement to maintain peace. However, a group of light forces, including the protagonist Anton, work to regulate the dark Others and prevent their misdeeds.
