Seth, a post-grad, moves into a new apartment with his best friend Nate, an actor. They, along with their friend Jared, go out on the town, where Nate gets flirtatious with an older Pilates teacher, Brie. Seth starts a temp job and begins dating Sephora, a cute co-worker. Meanwhile, Jared becomes infatuated with the DJ and starts using drugs, leading to his eviction. The four friends, including Brie who moves in with her cat, struggle to confront their own personal issues and the cracks in their dreams begin to show.
