Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter? background

Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter?

A mother's relentless pursuit of justice begins when her daughter, a young woman who was forced into prostitution, is brutally murdered and dumped in a dumpster.

A teenage girl, Diana, is lured into prostitution by her boyfriend-turned-pimp, A.J., who eventually abuses and murders her. Her mother, Gayle, discovers the harsh reality of how the law treats prostitutes and the lack of evidence that prevents A.J.'s prosecution for Diana's murder. Gayle teams up with police to put A.J. behind bars for another related crime and, along the way, helps another of A.J.'s prostitutes, April, escape the trade and reunite with her mother.
