The film is set in Dwaraka, the hometown of Lord Krishna, and revolves around characters from the Hindu Epic "The Mahabharata". Abhimanyu, son of Arjuna, falls in love with Sasirekha, daughter of Balarama. When the Pandavas lose their kingdom, Balarama promises Sasirekha's hand to Duryodhana's son, breaking a promise made to Subhadra.
