Alexia, a former actress turned producer, runs a gay cinema production company in New York and owns an apartment complex in California where her young actors stay. When her mute brother Christi gets into trouble, she sends her right-hand man Maxwell to deal with it instead. Maxwell, who has a deep sense of gratitude towards Alexia for giving him a chance, accepts the task.
