A socially awkward man is tormented by a group of punks and belittled by his coworkers. He becomes infatuated with a colleague and buys a self-help series to boost his confidence. Gathering his courage, he visits her home, only to discover she's with another coworker. Heartbroken, he goes out with new friends, including women, and has a wild night. However, things take a dark turn when his tormentors, the same punks, show up and humiliate him again, leading to a violent reckoning.
