Nightclub entertainer Hap Smith, now partnered with Betsy Carter, performs a comedic parody of a soldier. When his former partner Chick Allen, now in the army, needs his help for a show at Fort Benning, Hap disguises himself as a struggling soldier, Dogface Dolan, and gets caught up in a series of chaotic events.
