Holiday Engagement

Hillary Burns, a 30-year-old woman, has spent her life trying to gain her parents' approval, particularly her mother's. She's engaged to a successful lawyer, Jason King, and plans to bring him home to meet her family at their Thanksgiving gathering. However, her life takes a turn when she loses her job and Jason dumps her, citing his career as more important. On the advice of her friend Sophie, Hillary decides to use an online dating site to find someone to pose as Jason for the weekend. She finds David, an actor who agrees to pretend to be Jason, and they must navigate the challenges of pretending to be a couple in front of Hillary's family.
