A widowed mother, Jen, moves back to her hometown with her preteen daughter to be closer to their families. She joins the PTO committee, including workaholic lawyer Marissa and alpha mom Kelly, to help plan Field Day. Despite their differences, they must work together to overcome the event's bad reputation and make it a success. Along the way, Jen forms a connection with the PE teacher, Dan, whose relationship may be complicated by the parent gossip.
